So some of you know that I have a love for all types of tunes especially strange and/or home brewed (singer/songwriter) music. Well this is the latter that I want to share. Her name is Laura Veirs and wow. Her music is the kind that I find myself longing for those summer days on a road trip through the country side with the wind in your hair. This is right up their with my love for the best sound track ever. No, it's not The Sound of Music. Even better, Garden State! This is the kind of music that you find in your head while you contemplate life, religion, family and love. Who doesn't love a bit of The Shins or Colin Hay (singer from Men At Work) when they are just chillin' and thinking. So go check out Laura Veirs and hit the road and have a revelation or two.
